Bonnie is the 756th person to swim across the English Channel.  She began swimming competitively at the age of 6 and was a varsity swimmer at Johns Hopkins University.  After college, she completed several open water swims across the country including The Manhattan Island Marathon Swim.  In 2003 her 10k performance earned her the title of Long Distance All American. 

She has now coached Masters, Age Group, College, and open water swimmers at several locations in New York, Florida and California.  She runs clinics at Brighton Beach and in the Hudson River and is responsible for training Swim Angels who assist at NY open water swims and triathlons around the tri-state area.  

She has also spoken to a variety of groups including schools, teams, social groups and professional organizations about, swimming, goal setting and "living a meaningful life."
